Nutritional Diary 2012.04.07

yu yu hakusho avatar - youko kurama by cokho7It's been more than a month since I last updated about my progress in all this dieting, exercising, and keeping healthy.

To be honest, I was pretty much discouraged for the past month. I’ve been doing my walks at least 2-3 times a week, but my eating habits haven’t really changed for the better. Sure I’ve been keeping with eating more fruits and vegetables whenever I can, but it didn’t seem enough because when I got on the scale? Oh there was a change alright, and I gained 5 pounds.

What in the world? 5 pounds?! I’ve only lost 7 and now I gain 5?! No, no, no! This can’t be happening!!!

I was actually thinking of quitting altogether… The walks are getting very tiresome now that it’s summer, and I get dehydrated far to easily.

But then, we went to the beach yesterday. I got heat stroke, so getting to Batanggas was near hell for me with all the dizzy spells and wanting to hurl. This is another story, however, so I’ll tell you guys more about it in another update. The main point about yesterday was that I had to wear my swimsuit… Not something I was looking forward to, because I was planning to hide under my overcoat all day.

My nephew came along with us, and he’s seen me in the same swimsuit before. In all sincerity, he commented, “…eh? Auntie, you’re getting smaller.”

I gave him a skeptical look and told him I’ll buy him ice cream later, because what he said can’t be true. I told him I gained back whatever I lost, and he laughed~ He said it’s probably because my muscles were developing (he’s the second nephew to say so, because the first one already told me before), and he was sure that I was much thinner, especially around my core area.

Needless to say, I was in Cloud 9 for the rest of the day~ The ocean was so nice to see again after a whole year, and the cold, salty water got me out of my dizzying overheat~ It had become an enjoyable day altogether~~

So all this walking, jump-roping, badminton playing in the heat is really helping after all. Alright! Time to work even harder this April!

B1A4: O.K.

Last Thursday, I had to travel to Ortigas to get some paperworks done. As with many commuters, I like having my mp3 player with me to keep me company during the long walks and boring rides on the MRT.

This song? It was playing on loop the entire day, and I’m still not tired of it.

O.K girl, I’m all yours, yes man
I’ll do everything for you
O.K girl, from now on, I’m yours
I love you
I’m your man (You’re my woman)
You have all of me forever
From head to toe, I love you

Translations by: Maki Kawaii

The upbeat music was a lovely companion for the entire day~ And it doesn’t help that I kept picturing Gongchan and Jinyoung in my head which kept me smiling like and idiot the whole day. Not to mention CNU’s “unique” look!

Oh, and did you know? B1A4 is not a based on paper sizes, but on their blood type. Baro is the only one who has Type B, and the other 4 boys have Type A. ♥

Pangya Journey 2012.03.18

Finally got this game working again on my PC! Although my internet connection leaves a lot to be desired considering it kicked me out again during my 18-hole game with Venus-sama.

Oh well, papel~ At least I was able to score my second third(!) H.I.O. on this account. Still in Beginner A rank, and probably not going anywhere anytime soon since there aren’t a lot of A.I. players lately.

The new event of collecting hearts does not have a nice line-up of prizes. I’m not that interested in them, but I guess I’ll just have to wait and see if I even get enough hearts for any of the prizes anyway!

The new Ice Inferno map is just as difficult as Deep Inferno… probably even more so, but I haven’t played through all the holes yet. It’s basically the icy version of Deep Inferno, so I guess they’re playing with that old saying “…when Hell freezes over”. I do love the background music though! It’s creepy in an inspiring sort of way.

…I would like to know if there are plushies of that ridiculous-looking, adorable, little demon-monster-thing though. Seriously, what is that?!

Isao Machii: Modern Day Samurai

I watched this twice… then I watched it again. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, but there’s no denying what Isao Machii, Guinness World Record holder, has done in this film.

He sliced a BB gun pellet, fired from 70 feet, traveling over 200 miles per hour, with his katana or samurai sword.

Who said the samurai no longer exists? This guy is amazing.
