Nutritional Diary 2012.04.07

yu yu hakusho avatar - youko kurama by cokho7It's been more than a month since I last updated about my progress in all this dieting, exercising, and keeping healthy.

To be honest, I was pretty much discouraged for the past month. I’ve been doing my walks at least 2-3 times a week, but my eating habits haven’t really changed for the better. Sure I’ve been keeping with eating more fruits and vegetables whenever I can, but it didn’t seem enough because when I got on the scale? Oh there was a change alright, and I gained 5 pounds.

What in the world? 5 pounds?! I’ve only lost 7 and now I gain 5?! No, no, no! This can’t be happening!!!

I was actually thinking of quitting altogether… The walks are getting very tiresome now that it’s summer, and I get dehydrated far to easily.

But then, we went to the beach yesterday. I got heat stroke, so getting to Batanggas was near hell for me with all the dizzy spells and wanting to hurl. This is another story, however, so I’ll tell you guys more about it in another update. The main point about yesterday was that I had to wear my swimsuit… Not something I was looking forward to, because I was planning to hide under my overcoat all day.

My nephew came along with us, and he’s seen me in the same swimsuit before. In all sincerity, he commented, “…eh? Auntie, you’re getting smaller.”

I gave him a skeptical look and told him I’ll buy him ice cream later, because what he said can’t be true. I told him I gained back whatever I lost, and he laughed~ He said it’s probably because my muscles were developing (he’s the second nephew to say so, because the first one already told me before), and he was sure that I was much thinner, especially around my core area.

Needless to say, I was in Cloud 9 for the rest of the day~ The ocean was so nice to see again after a whole year, and the cold, salty water got me out of my dizzying overheat~ It had become an enjoyable day altogether~~

So all this walking, jump-roping, badminton playing in the heat is really helping after all. Alright! Time to work even harder this April!
