Nutritional Diary 2012.02.05

yu yu hakusho - kurama iconIt's been more than a month since I started walking more and eating less… Well, the eating less part needs a lot more work, because I still have a tendency to snack on things that are not exactly good for me. But of course, we all know what's important here, which is the results of all that hard work.

Well, I’m happy to say that it’s kind of working. So far, I feel much stronger, and I get tired less often when I jump rope. My clothes feel much looser than they did at the beginner of the year, and I've lost a total of 5 pounds so far!

All good news, right? So why is it only "kinda" working, you ask?

Well, I’m not really sure if that 2 pound additional weight loss counts. Why? Because I was sick a few days ago. I had the stomach flu, and the remedy the doctor gave me? Drink coffee and Coke.

Now the coffee I can take, but the coke? That’s temptation food! Wah~ As much as I’m happy to be officially “allowed” to drink this stuff, it’s making me feel guilty all the same! I need to work out more if this continues!

Sadly, I missed a day of work out because I was also feeling very dizzy the other day. I get this illness once every few years where, I’m guessing, my semi-circular canals give up on me. So for a few days, I’d feel too dizzy to do anything; even getting out of bed would be a challenge for me not to fall over.

Thankfully, this year wasn’t so bad. The episode only lasted a day, and I slept all of last night, so when morning came, I was feeling a lot better. My head still hurts at the moment, but the doctor seems to think it’s probably just because I’m refraining from eating too much carbohydrates and sugar, so my body is adjusting.

I don’t think I’m doing anything extreme enough for me to get sick though… I mean, I did have that McDonald’s quarter pounder just the other day (so much for dieting, huh? ), so I’m pretty sure I’m still on the “right” track, if you know what I mean.

Oh well, 5 pounds is still 5 pounds, I suppose. I just hope I don’t get sick again any time soon!

Pangya Journey 2012.02.03

I may be a little bit more addicted to this game than I should be.

Thanks to the A.I. people, I got to Beginner B in no time. This meant I could finally get some clothes for both Hana and Kooh.

I changed Hana’s hair to blond after getting the Black Dragon tiara, because well, my nickname is “saber-chan” after all. Hana seems to be one most suited for Saber’s character, so I bought the academy uniform with the closest shade of blue to Saber’s signature dress. I might get the black ones too, but since I’m pretty broke after purchasing this set? That might take a while.

I may have upgraded her control a little too much. It’s so slow that I miss my pangya! And yes, I know I’m weird, but I get better pangya rates with a bar that’s a little faster than Hana’s current settings. Maybe I’ll add accuracy or power later on, unless I get used to it.

Of course, my favorite will always be Kooh, so I got her both of her Dragon items as well as a new shirt and mini skirt. I regret getting the skirt a little though, because now when I play versus, everyone likes to comment about Kooh’s panties! Le sigh~ It’ll be a long way before I can get her pants, but I suppose this will do for now. I’ll just stay away from playing versus games and stick with tourneys when I use her.

Oh and those mini devil wings? Got them from a lucky spinny box~ Cute, aren’t they?

pangya - my first win

Sadly, with all the people using calculators to get that impossible H.I.O shot, this is probably as close as I can get when it comes to being number 1. This was my first match, and Emily and I did pretty well. I actually thought she was going to surpass me, because I got 2 (or was it 3?) pars during the game, but I guess I got lucky.

What do you know? I might be good at this game after all.

*screams~*

So I’ve unlocked most of the episodes for Hijirikawa-san’s storyline. I’ve just finished “Knocking on the Mind” in Pro mode, rank A, and what was I greeted with?

uta no prince-sama music - hijirikawa masato episode 9

I’m sorry, but if you can’t read Japanese, I refuse to translate this for you. And if you can read Japanese, I’m pretty sure it’s not what your thinking. *nosebleed~*

I must say this much: I finally got Hijirikawa-san to kiss me! He sounds so much sweeter than the passionate Jinguji-san and playful Natsuki-san~ Eeee~ I will have lots of sweet dreams tonight!

I’m actually surprised that I’m unlocking these left and right… although I’m pretty sure I’ll hit a slump when it comes to Natsuki-san’s Hard and Pro modes. Lol, but my right-hand hurts a lot! I might need to wear my wrist support soon!

Hm… Perhaps I should try getting my own screenshots of these things.

Uta☆Pri Music

utapri music natsuki episode 1 translated by breadmasterlee

Ok, thanks to Misaki-chan again, I’m stuck on my PSP, gaming like a boss lady~ My mother seems to have the idea that I’ve lost my mind since I’m always smiling to myself lately, but I digress…

“Uta☆Pri Music” has a lot of really catchy songs, and it kinda reminds me of DJ Max, only this feels much more complicated since you need to use one of any arrow keys on the left, then the X, Square, and Triangle on the right. What’s more, they used a music sheet layout, so it’s side scrolling instead of a continuous rain of notes like DJ Max.

Needless to say it fried my brain.

But my brain fought back~ Woohoo! I’ve unlocked all the songs after 4 days of gaming and I can do a few songs on Hard mode now too! Apparently, you need to get all the hearts in the character songs in order to get the “otome game”-like scenes like the one I'm posting here graciously translated by Bread Master Lee.

It kinda bribes the female gamers to try their best in the Pro levels because the scenes… Hnngh… Th-they’re voiced, and the voice actors… actually make kiss noises at you!

dsjfhslghdlfgd!!! Be still my heart! Natsuki, stop that! I’m supposed to like Hijirikawa, but after this game, I think you’ve won me over! But why are your songs so difficult to play?! Grawr~!

But I guess that will make the guys run away from this game for dear life now.

Sadly, it’s a Japanese game, so it’s challenging my Japanese language skills(?) which are poor at best, but I really don’t care! Their kisses voices and music are more than enough to make me play this game over and over again.

Oh yeah, Satsuki is never satisfied even if you get a perfect game. He apparently likes to call you a “stupid octopus”. sdkfsklgh!!! I will be a Pro Composer yet, just you wait, Satsuki!!!
